CATHY LEWIS, trained at Glasgow and Falmouth schools of art, has been represented by the gallery since 2001.
We have exhibited her bronzes regularly at the major London art fairs - The London Art Fair, Islington; Fine Art & Antiques Fairs, Olympia, London; and 20/21 British Art Fair, Royal College of Art, London with great success.
In 2006 Cathy was commissioned by Charles Church Developments to create a large sculpture for a public site beside the new Registry Office, Holliday Wharf, Birmingham.
Bronzes range from 69 cm in height to life-size.
Following a very successful exhibition at the Bath gallery in October 2007, we have featured Cathy's sculptures at LAPADA
London Art Fair, May 2008, 20/21 British Art Fair 2008, 2009 & 2010, The Birmingham Art Fair 2008 & The London Art Fair, Islington,
London 2009 & 2010.
Cathy has, for some time, specialised in bronzes depicting the acrobatic male form in balance -
and continues to do so*.
Since late 2009 her focus has widened and we now also exhibit her beautifully modelled life-size figures of children - all with strong urban or tribal identities. These new works are available in editions of both painted jesmonite and painted bronze.
